Minister: Center NAMI not eyeing buying Toyota's plant in St Pete

MOSCOW, Nov 11 (PRIME) -- State Research Center of the Russian Federation NAMI that earlier bought 68% in AvtoVAZ from France's Renault has no plans to buy Toyota’s St. Petersburg plant, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said at a forum on Friday.

"No, no such discussions are taking place," Manturov said referring to possible plans of the center to buy the facility.

At the end of September, Toyota said it was closing the plant. The ministry said then that the scenarios of development of the facility were considered.
